How renting works
Really, you can rent premium ebikes? That’s a questions we hear often. People are usually surprised to find that all the gear they’ve really been wanting to try is available to rent with Studio 19. You can try it out, decide if you love it and then apply to buy any time you like or return after the minimum rental period.
Flexibility
Studio 19 Rentals offers something that no one else does. The chance to try things out without being locked into a rigid contract for years on end. No one ever expects their circumstances to change. Yet they do. All the time. With Studio 19 Rentals, you get the benefit of low monthly payments but none of the uncompromising nature of regular finance offers.
For example, you can return with Studio 19 Rentals. It could be at 6 months, 9 months or 18 months. Any time at all after 6 months you can return your rental to us. We won’t even ask you any questions. This way you get to make sure the equipment is right for you before you make a commitment.
Better still, you can apply to buy your rental whenever you like. The minimum rental period is only related to how long you need to keep the gear before you can return it to us. If you want to own it, you can. Even after one day, 10 days, or 365. Whenever you’re ready all you need to do is contact us and we will help you make the final payment.
No Ongoing Account Keeping Fees or Charges
With Studio 19 Rentals there are also no ongoing account keeping fees or charges. There are no yearly fees added to your account. Your first payment will include a small admin fee, freight is usually charged directly through your chosen store. After this, there are no other added fees. The only other possible fee is if you miss your payment date. But if you know you can’t make the payment on time please let us know one business day before and we will put it on hold for you.
Optional Protection Plan
Our optional protection plan is available on most items. It covers you for accidental damage, fire, and theft by forced entry in Australia. There are some conditions and we recommend you read the full terms and conditions or speak to one of our team for more info.

If you’re thinking of renting for the first time you probably have a lot of questions. We’ve done our best to answer all the most common questions we get asked. If the answer you’re looking for isn’t there please feel free to contact us at our head office. If your question is about a product, we recommend you contact the store. They have a much deeper knowledge of their products and stock levels than we do.
Instead of having to buy something outright, you can rent and take it home for a small payment each month.
You can rent for up to 36 months if you like. And if you’re finished with the equipment (you might even find something you like more) you can give the goods back any time after the minimum rental period.
If you love everything and want to keep it all forever, you can apply to buy any time.

The minimum rental period for most products is 6 (12 months for a small selection), but that’s only if you want to return your gear. You can apply to buy any time, even after one day.
We like to keep things simple. Plus, we would never stand in the way of true love. Sometimes you only need one day to know you’ve found the one.

Absolutely. You can apply to buy any time, even after one day. There are no hidden fees for buying at one month, six months or three years. If you contact our team, we’ll help you finalise everything.
We offer an optional protection plan with most of our gear. Our protection plan is different from insurance and doesn’t cover every eventuality. It does protect you from accidental damage, fire and theft in Australia though. Our team will be happy to run through this with you have you have any specific questions.
Checking with your own insurance company is a good idea. Often rentals are covered by your contents insurance.
To keep things simple, payments are charged on a set date each month from a debit or credit card. If a payment date falls on a weekend or a public holiday, you will come out on the next business day.
Missing a payment happens. If you know your payment is going to bounce, let us know a business day beforehand and we will hold it for you. If we don’t have time to hold the payment for you a $16 fee will be added to your account. Please don’t be concerned though, missing one payment has no negative impact on your credit score.
If you continue to rent for the maximum 36 months, we will contact you and help you finalise your agreement. But you don’t automatically own the gear. Because it is a rental, there is always a one-off payment at the end to own the goods.
The longer you rent, the smaller that payment becomes due to the item devaluing. For example, if you were to apply to buy at one month, the cost is very close to the original value of your item. Whereas, if you apply to buy at 36 months the cost is more likely to be around the value of one rental payment.
