MERGES THE BEST OF TWO WORLDS
The JAM² SL 8.8 is the perfect light e-MTB for people who want the best price-performance ratio. The full-carbon frame optimises the weight without compromising on stiffness and usability. The top tube is designed in the most radical and minimalist way. Thanks to the shock semi-integration, the JAM² SL 8.8 has a low stand-over height that gives you generous space for moving. Still, all parts to adjust your shock settings are easy to reach. As the motor and battery of our JAM² SL 8.8 are fully integrated in the down tube, this e-MTB not just rides but also looks like a pure bike.
SUPPORT POWER OF AN E-BIKE
The FAZUA Ride 60 drive unit provides the feeling of a natural ride but still has got your back on all climbs. The compact and light, yet powerful system has 60 Nm torque and a maximum power output of 450 W. If you need an extra push, the boost function helps you to tackle even the steepest sections. Thanks to the high efficiency of the FAZUA system and a battery with 430 Wh, your ride won't stop before reaching your very own Rider's High. If you really need even more, adding a range extender offers you further 210 Wh. The drive system already features three different riding modes. On top, you can individualize the motor support based on your riding preferences via the FAZUA App. It allows you to set Max Power, Support Relation and Ramp-up according to your own personal needs.
ADJUSTABLE GEOMETRY AND ADAPTED KINEMATICS
The JAM² SL 8.8 features two points to adjust your geometry: the head angle and the chainstay length. The steeper head angle of 65,5° results in a more agile handling of the bike, while the slack position of 64,5° gives it a more downhill-oriented setting. Switching the FLIP CHIPs and adjusting your chainstay length from 440 to 447 mm changes the whole set-up of your bike. With longer chainstays, the JAM² SL 8.8 rides more stable and makes steep climbs easier, whereas the short setting leads to a more agile geometry. For the JAM² SL 8.8, we adapted our F.O.L.D. (FOCUS Optimised Linkage Design) and reduced the amount of linkage parts resulting in a significant weight loss. The updated kinematic design reduces brake influences and gives you maximum control of your bike in every situation.
A FRAME DESIGN THAT TAKES YOU EVEN HIGHER
TOP TUBE
The top tube is a key element when it comes to adapting our e-MTBs to their specific use and habitat.
We evaluated every little detail to get our carbon layers as thick as needed for high stability, and as thin as possible for reduced weight. As a result, our engineers found the most radical and minimalist way to optimize the top tube’s cross-section with ideal relations of stiffness, modern design, and lightweight.
TOP TUBE
On top, a low stand-over height was essential for us to accomplish perfect bike handling.
This led to a shock semi-integration as part of the top tube that gives you generous space for moving. Still, all parts to adjust your shock settings are easy to reach.
TOP TUBE
To underline the purity and lightness of this e-MTB, the JAM² SL features our design elements in their most reduced version. The clean silhouette and tidy shapes combined with our remarkable tie-shaped top tube represent the latest iteration of the FOCUS design language.
DOWN TUBE
When it comes to the down tube, our engineers developed a sleek design while keeping functionality on point.
The motor and battery of our JAM² SL are fully integrated which ensures optimal protection of the e-drive and makes this e-MTB not just ride but also look like a pure bike.
The thoughtfully engineered carbon layout creates the perfect balance of low weight and high stiffness.
DOWN TUBE
Additionally, great usability of the light e-MTB was crucial when designing the bike. To provide most flexibility while reducing weight, we evaluated all kinds of charging options. We decided for a removable battery that can easily be taken out of the bike on the bottom side of the down tube. As you can use the Allen key from the thru-axle of your JAM² SL to unlock the down tube cover, the only needed tool is always by your side. After opening the cover, you can easily remove the FAZUA ENERGY 430 battery with only one click.
ALL THE ENERGY YOU NEED FOR YOUR RIDER'S HIGH
The FAZUA Ride 60 drive unit provides the feeling of a natural ride but still has got your back on all climbs. The compact and light, yet powerful system has 60 Nm torque and a maximum power output of 450 W. If you need an extra push, the boost function helps you to tackle even the steepest sections. The FAZUA system matches perfectly with our idea of a light e-MTB and is fully integrated into the down tube. Further, the quiet motor won't distract you from your ultimate riding experience, so you can let your mind flow on up- as well as downhill sections.
INDIVIDUALIZE YOUR BIKE'S GEOMETRY
HEAD ANGLE POSITION
Our new JAM SL features an easy adjustment of the head angle between 64,5; and 65,5; by turning the headset cups. Choosing a steeper head angle results in a more agile handling of the bike, while the slack position gives it a more downhill-oriented setting. Adjusting the handling of this light e-bike to your own preferences won't affect the seat angle or other parameters
CHAINSTAY LENGTH
Thanks to our FLIP CHIPs at the rear triangle, you can balance your bike's geometry according to your riding style. The adjustment from 440 to 447 mm changes your whole set-up. When switching your FLIP CHIPs to a long position, the JAM SL rides more stable and makes steep climbs easier. If you prefer manuals and a more agile geometry, change it to the short position and get your extra kick
YOUR PERSONAL HIGH
Based on those two components, your JAM SL can have four individual geometry settings with head angle slack or steep and chainstay long or short. These options also make sure that your bike geometry is well-balanced and adjusted to your size.
A PERFECTLY BALANCED FULL-CARBON FRAME
Our Carbon technology pushes the boundaries of light e-MTB constructions. The carbon fibre-oriented design optimises the stiffness-to-weight ratio of our JAM² SL.
We have used a tailor-made mix of high strength and high tenacity fibres for our carbon layup. These fibres can handle the heavy forces at your e-MTB ride while offering a strong frame stiffness for agile steering.
The MAX carbon layup takes our JAM² SL 9.0 and 9.9 models even one level higher in terms of weight optimisation: It contains a significant amount of high modulus fibres that saves even more weight without compromising on stiffness.
Using carbon fibres for the front and rear triangle gave us the possibility to bring our clear vision of a stiff and stable, but light e-MTB to life. The perfect match of design and material underlines the purity and lightness of the JAM² SL.
ADAPTED KINEMATICS
As F.O.L.D. stands for FOCUS Optimised Linkage Design, the optimisation never stops. For the JAM; SL, we reduced the amount of linkage parts of our F.O.L.D. resulting in a significant weight loss. The updated kinematic design further reduces brake influences and gives you maximum control of your bike in every situation
CLEAN AND GOOD-LOOKING COCKPIT
Thanks to the specially developed C.I.S. (Cockpit Integration Solution), the cockpit of the JAM; SL looks super clean.
All cables run from the handlebar into the stem and through the headset into the frame of this lightweight e-MTB. The C.I.S. also ensures constantly seamless shifting and braking
SEALED BEARINGS
All frame bearings have an additional seal to increase their liftetime.
MAXIMUM SYSTEM WEIGHT
This sportive and light e-MTB is made for a total system weight (bike, rider, and equipment) of 135 kg.
FRAME PROTECTIONS
We have developed custom frame protection for areas that are exposed to a higher risk of damage such as the down tube and chainstay. To protect your JAM² SL from paint damage, the accessory kit also contains custom frame stickers.

I want a different shock. What do I need to take into account?
Our advice is to use the specced shock because we optimised it for the F.O.L.D. kinematics. As there are many shock models in the market, we cannot guarantee that another one will work. The assembly dimensions of the shock are 210x55 mm, 25x8 mm at the shank, no bushings at the body.
How do I adjust the spring rate of my shock? What is SAG?
SAG is a measurement unit to individually adjust the spring rate of your air shock. It indicates how much the shock compresses when you just sit on your bike without moving. You adjust the SAG by changing the air pressure in your shock with a special shock pump. Our SAG recommendation is 30% which corresponds to 16.5 mm. To see the actual percentage, please use the O-Ring that is placed on the shock. For detailed set-up recommendations for your shock, you can also check out pressure charts.

Can I adjust my head angle position?
Yes, between 64,5° and 65,5°. Our bikes are being delivered with a standard setting of 65,5°.
THE FOCUS SYSTEM OF NUMERATION
All bikes are labelled with two numbers which are divided by a dot. The number in front of the dot represents the frame material and its quality. Carbon is always attributed with the highest number: 9 stands for the highest quality carbon layup, 8 is an "eco" layup or carbon/aluminium mix. Our aluminium bikes start at 7 or lower. The number behind the dot stands for the level of specification.
Example: JAM² SL
9.X: MAX full carbon frame
